It’s often said women are great multi-taskers. So, why should pregnancy stop us from continuing with that reputation? If you’re a style savvy, fashion forward girl, there’s no reason you can’t style it out all through your pregnancy, while also being comfortable. Some of our favourite chic celebrities have kept their trendy track records in tact as they rocked their bumps. Take notes, apply autumnal shades, and style away ladies!
Face of Chanel, Gucci Girl, On-screen Gossip Girl…we’d be happy with even just one of these titles, but Blake Lively has held all three. Lucky lady! Oh, and if that wasn’t enough, she’s married to Ryan Reynolds. We could be really jealous, but it’s just too hard when Blake proves time after time just how impeccable her taste is – including during her first pregnancy with daughter James. The mum-to-be showed she was a fan of wraps and cape style coats – perfect for keeping out any October chills as you dart around, looking fabulous.
Even covered head to toe in blue paint for her role as an Avatar, Zoe Saldana still looked amazing. So it’s hardly a surprise that she styled her way through her first pregnancy with sophistication. Zoe had the California heat to dress for, so maxi dresses were a favourite – one to keep in mind for any future mums who will be sporting their bump through the summer months, but also great for layering under a thick knit. A fantastic all-in-one outfit, in both block colours and prints, they seemed a favourite for Zoe, who was pictured in quite a few full-length numbers while she waited to welcome twins, Bowie and Cy.
Back while she was walking the red carpets, promoting her bad girl character Amy Dunne of Gone Girl, in reality Rosamund Pike was earning gold stars for her maternity master class in dressing for two. Expecting her second child, Rosamund seemed to know a thing or two about dressing as professional parent-to-be. Her choice of a shirtdress kept things chic and perfect for the office or a meeting. Team it with a simple flat shoe or brogue, and you have a failsafe outfit for the working mum-to-be.
